Therefore, the Social and Political Science faculty prepares students with an interdisciplinary curriculum to understand our contemporary world.

It provides essential skills and knowledge to understand the political institutions, media, and social structures as well as the complexity of the local and global dynamics.

Our school is home to one of the most successful academic groups in the world for research and teaching in the social sciences.  

Through a rich variety of multidisciplinary networks and research centres, our academics maintain significant connections with the international community and are exceptionally well placed to explore the social, cultural and political foundations of the contemporary world.

Undergraduate program (S1) in Communication Science

Communications Science is a very dynamic branch where its development follows the trends and issues of the media landscape, audiences behavior, technology as the medium of communication, and the evolution of social, economic, and political settings. The focus of this undergraduate program is to offer a critical exploration of contemporary social, politics, and culture in media and communication studies as well as training in communications management, public relations, and visual media production.

Undergraduate program (S1) in Sociology

The complexity of society and challenges that humans face nowadays, requires the support of sociology to solve numerous problems. To apply effective social policies it is necessary to have a comprehensive understanding of society. In this undergraduate program, learners will study a wide range of topics to get a better understanding of the social nature of man to examine the relationship between individual and society, and the impact of society on man. And develop valuable skills such as; Understand Social Dynamics, Critical Thinking, and Global and Multicultural competency, among others.

Undergraduate program (S1) in Government Studies

The undergraduate program in Government Studies at UTS offers the students a contemporary and interdisciplinary approach to the study of theory and practice of government, the nature of politics, policy-making, and public administration. It is designed to support students to develop an understanding of the issues and challenges faced by society. The study program in Government Studies provides learners with a holistic understanding of the world, and the necessary tools to explore and brainstorm solutions to issues that impact the community and the society in its eternity.
